On March 29th, 2014 David Huffman attended the Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day ceremonies at the city park in Parkersburg, WV .  He sang a song he wrote, called ‘Welcome Home Vietnam Veteran’ acappello.  After that he and his wife Cheryl  stopped at the VFW, the American Legion and the Veterans Museum of Mid-Ohio Valley for a bite.  Strangely at the museum there was a picture of David Huffman above the bathroom door.  David Huffman thought it was funny, he said, “It’s kind of nice that at the door to the most important room at the museum, everyone looks at me before they look at themselves, oh well.”

Someone made homemade brownies with a star on the brownies for the museum. Those brownies delicious and Huffman’s sugar went up then back down thanks to insulin.  It was a good Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day.

Huffman also wrote an article in the paper stating Vietnam Veterans and all other veterans have fought for freedom. Huffman stated, “It’d be nice if the government stays on the same page with freedom being their primary emphasis”.
