Huffman tells others, “I have the good kind of diabetes; I won’t go blind from it.  I can’t go blind twice.  Managing diabetes is a lifetime challenge.  When I eat what I want, I play Russian roulette with insulin in order to make the sugar go down before it goes up.  I’m involved with exercise: karate between 7:30 and 8:30 am.  Still there are ups and downs.  As so in life…if you can’t do something about it, enjoy it.  After being hit in the head a few times including in Vietnam, my brain doesn’t seem to work right so I take piano and singing lessons.

A Mike 3/7 friend, Moody lost a limb in Vietnam.  A cousin shot a shotgun out a window years ago during a party.  Moody and the cousin put ketchup on Moody’s artificial leg.  Most people at the party didn’t know moody had an artificial leg.  It was a little craziness, screams, and a mad wife; then everyone laughed about it.  It sounds like something I would do if I was in the same situation.

Life is tough and life keeps ticking for all of us ‘til the end.  You might as well enjoy it while it’s here”.
