When Huffman was a service representative for Vietnam Veterans of America at the Elsmere DE Regional Office in Elsmere, DE between 1984 and 1986; he had a confrontation with one of the Veteran’s as a result of that’s Veteran’s dispute with a another Veteran’s organization, AMVETS.  The Veteran, Arnold claimed a close association with a mafia group in NY.  Huffman and Rively (D-1 and D-2) didn’t know if Huffman had something to worry about.  One day D-1 called his home in Melanie Woods in New Castle, DE.  Someone answered the phone, but did not speak.  Worried that the home was being burglarized; blind D-1 and his friend D-2, went over to Huffman’s house.  D-2 went into the back door with a gun drawn; D-1 went through the front door ready to confront the burglar.  Upon arriving at Huffman’s home, nothing appeared to be suspicious or suspect until Huffman went upstairs into the family room and noticed the phone was off the hook.  Near the phone stood the suspect: “Rainbow”, the family cat.
