One day, Morgan and Huffman were walking over Liberty Bridge with their M16s.  What appeared to Huffman to be an Arvin soldier took off his clothes.   He put his clothes on the wires surrounding Liberty Bridge near the river.  Morgan was vigilant as to what he believed the now naked man was doing.  He put his clothes on the wire as a spotter for mortars and rockets so the mortars and rockets could be more easily directed onto the Marines positions.  Morgan told Huffman, “Open up on him”.  Both Morgan and Huffman opened up with their M16s.  Across the river a naked body crawled into the bushes.  Huffman said, “I don’t know if I hit him, but I know I shot at a naked man.  I didn’t see much movement in the bushes after that; the naked man did at least make it into the bushes”.  At the least he may have been eaten up by mosquitoes, ran into a rat, or a bamboo viper.
